The National Democratic Congress, NDC in the New Juaben North constituency of thew Eastern Region has appreciated the hardwork of cadres and the old aged in building the party since Ghana’s democratic dispensation started in 1992.
About 300 individuals were presented with food items in a colourful event held at the Asokore community center last Saturday.
The New Juaben North MCE, Samuel Adongo, who was the chairman for the occasion, commended organizers of the event and emphasized on the need to honour the party’s heroes who suffered for the sustainability of the NDC.
He indicated that the NDC recognizes the effort of every party member in contributing to the success of the party, and assured his outfit will work hard to let people in the municipality benefit from the current NDC administration.
The Eastern Regional Youth organizer, Richard Etornam Nyarko, former Regional and aspiring chairman, Bismark Tawiah Boateng, aspiring Regional chairman, David Dakudzi and other speakers at the event called for peace and oneness within the party in order to have a formidable team to face the NPP in the 2028 general elections.
They also, urged party members to exercise patience as government is doing everything possible to ensure party members and Ghanaians in general, have improvement in their lives and activities.
Some beneficiaries who spoke to the reporter were grateful to organizers and the party leadership for the recognition, which is the first of it kind and also appealed for other support to augment their current status.
Beneficiaries received bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, boxes of mackerel and other assorted food items.
