Former independent Parliamentary candidate and current Presiding member for Akwapim North Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, Hon Ofei Asiedu has admonished Ghanaians not to relax the fierce objection against homosexuality.
According to him, the act is an abomination and ungodly sexual preference which is an affront to the constitution, religious and cultural beliefs in Ghana.
Stating his position on the raging debate on the matter, Hon. Asiedu Ofei further argued that there is no moral justification by gay and lesbian rights advocates imposing homosexuality which is alien, shameful, disgusting, and effrontery to Ghanaian cultural values.
According to him, he sees homosexuality as “morally disgusting, unnatural and a depravity” and has, thus, urged Ghanaians never to accept it in any shape or form.
Hon. Asiedu Ofei is popularly known as ‘No Size’ minced no word describing LGBTQI + as evil agenda that tends to incur the wrath of God and trigger a curse on Ghana, therefore, urged the Government to be resolute in resisting external aggressions to decriminalize homosexuality.
“I’m very surprised some Members of Parliament are in support of LGBTQI activities in the country, they should go to their constituency and discuss with their constituents before they speak in public,” The Presiding Member told Bryt FM News.
“I’m very sure some of the politicians supporting LGBTQI activities are practicing same or they have taken money from the group that’s why they are in support of such a cruel act”
Nonetheless, Hon. Asiedu Offei reaffirmed his trust in President Akufo Addo to rise to the occasion to protect and defend the Constitution, cultural and moral values of Ghanaians.
