The 2020 Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said that he has completed eighty per cent (80%) of Afari Community Hospital, Nkawie in the Ashanti Region.
According to Mr Mahama, the Afari Military hospital is being constructed to enable Ghanaians to enjoy good healthcare.
He categorically stated that the ruling party New Patriotic Party (NPP) has abandoned the Afari community hospital due to politics.
Speaking in an interview with Koforidua Sunrise FM as part of his Thank You tour to the Eastern Region, Mr Mahama stated that the Nana Addo led administration has abandoned many projects that the NDC started.
“We used state resources to construct many developmental projects in the region but the NPP government abandoned all such progressive projects,’’ Mr Mahama affirmed.
The Afari Community Hospital in the Ashanti Region comprises general health services morgue services, an x-ray department, state of the art laboratory, and 200 in-bed capacity private wards modern theatre.
