Africa multiple award-winning International Gospel singer-songwriter Sonnie Badu has reacted to OB Nartey after the media personality jabbed him for congratulating Kuami Eugene.
Kuami Eugene won the artist of the year at the just ended VGMA which took place during the weekend and many other artists have congratulated him on his success.
Sonnie Badu was among the many musicians who shared their joy with the reigning artist of the year.
However, after his congratulatory message, OB Nartey has mocked the pastor on social media for his acts.
According to OB Nartey, Sonnie Badu should concentrate on the matters of the Gospel Music Industry which is at its peak of failing and not secular music.
He described Sonnie Badu as someone who wants to be associated with fame and that is why he is promoting and engaging with the secular artistes.
In a post he shared on Facebook, he said “Good morning Sofo Badu, Go and look for your sons who are struggling in the Gospel industry and stop this unnecessary fame attachment. Noor Congratulations my son Kwame Eugene ???laughable. This “Don King” spirit won’t help you, the boys who served you are still waiting for you to give them the necessary push and features you promised them. The likes of Max Praise, Yohan, Tino Manford, Royal Chris, Kofi Perprah. You left the Gospel personalities who made us proud to go and claim fathership. What should Baba Sadiq call Kwame Eugene?
Sonnie Badu after seeing this also shared a post on Facebook and indicated that OB Nartey’s act is just to seek his attention which he wouldn’t give because he is not ready to respond to attention seekers.
“If I was an old old old man, this is the advice grandpa Badu will give to his grandchildren for September, it is pretty simple … DO not respond to ignorant fools who want attention, they will waste your time … Jesus did it and it worked for him … IT’S PURPLE”, he said.
