Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo blasted his colleague during a political conversation on Adom TV’s Ahosepe Xtra Show, stating her famed 2015dDumsor demonstration was unnecessary.
John argues that once the then-president, John Dramani Mahama, pledged to fix the problem, which he did, Yvonne should not have organized the demonstration, which turned into a revolution.
“I don’t think it was necessary. At that time the government said it will fix the problem and before he [Mahama] left, he fixed it. I will not fault anyone, but you should have given him [Mahama] the due credit for solving it” he added.
John Dumelo then challenged his bestie to stage another demo against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government premised on the prevailing hardship being experienced in the country, especially on the contentious Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy).
“They have to do another demonstration for the E-levy. I paid 5,000 cedis and paid almost 70-something cedis. If I am to send that amount every day, imagine how much I will have to pay as E-levy”, he said.
