Goran Barjaktarevic, the head coach of Legon Cities is counting on Asamoah Gyan and Fatau Dauda to achieve greatness in the forthcoming Ghana Premier League campaign.
The domestic top-flight league is returning this weekend after several months of inactive football in the country and according to the trainer, he is looking up to the former Black Stars captain and goalkeeper in order to have a successful season.
The all-time top scorer for Ghana joined the moneybags in the just-ended transfer window on a bumper deal after swerving Asante Kotoko.
“I’m happy that you guys are here. Our offensive department was not strong last season so I am extremely excited to have you and Fatau here because I expect you to be my biggest half on the pitch” he said.
Legon Cities will open their account against Brekum Chelsea in matchday one of the GPL at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Meanwhile, Gyan has been ruled out of the game due to injury.
