The Member of Parliament for Lower West Akyem Constituency of the Eastern Region, Charles Acheampong has said within three years in office, he has lobbied for about 100 jobs for the Youth in the Constituency.
He said, through his Power and Authority vested in it, he has helped the Youth to get job at Fire Service, Immigration, Education Service, Police Service, Cocobod and other Public Departments.
Addressing Chiefs and People of Asamankese during the celebration of Obourdwan Festival, Honourable Charles Acheampong pledged to continue to use the Power giving to him as Representative at Parliament to ensure that the entire Constituency benefit from National cake.
The MP said about 150 Students from the Constituency have benefited from National Scholarship Scheme and most are in the Tertiary Institutions for First and Masters Degree while others have completed for the past three years.
Honourable Charles Acheampong said he has taken over Asamankese Government Hospital new maternity ward which has been abandoned for ten years and Continuing and will Soon complete and hand over for use.
According to, for the first time in the history of Esaase, the Town has been connected to National Electricity grid, adding, another electrification project is ongoing at Wamase, Awaham Nkwanta, AkrofiKrom, Adamu Fortuma and Aboanor.
Mr. Acheampong, who is seeking for second term in office pledged Chiefs and People of Asamankese to support the Town to get durbar ground in 2024 and lauded them for a peaceful festival.
