Stonebwoy, who won Artiste of the Year at the 24th TGMA, has made clear that he and partner King Promise have no ill will.
Fans of the two artists debated the pair because they were thought to be strong candidates for the most prestigious prize.
King Promise later thanked Stonebwoy on X in a post following his Artiste of the Year victory.
His congratulations were received, but Stonebwoy did not reply, leading to rumors of a strained friendship between the two.
However, the Reggae Dancehall Artiste clarified in an interview that he is under no obligation to reply to King Promise.
He claimed to have received numerous communications of this type, to which he has not replied.
“Yes, King Promise congratulated me, I have seen it but I have not responded. I just saw it and I didn’t think to respond”, he told Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz.
“There are so many people who I’ve not responded to their congratulatory messages so I think it’s in that basket. Believe me, there is nothing attached to it at all. It’s nice to congratulate people and I am not that petty”, he said on Hitz FM.
