A commercial sex workers Security guard (Ashawo police) has explained the ordeal he had to go through in protecting women engaged in the act at night.
According to Yaw Osei, he has been doing this job for the past ten years but has nothing to boast of not even a place to lay his head.
From the Ashanti region, Yaw Osei is currently 45-years old and has been living in Koforidua for the past 20 years.
“I used to come to Koforidua to sell goods and return back in a week time and I must tell you I was a nice gentleman then. But something happened and the result is my current situation” he told Kwabena Nyarko Abronoma of Bryt FM.
“I met this lady whom I fell in love with, so I decided to stay here more often and rather go to Kumasi for goods when I run out of stock. I rented my own room and later asked the lady to move in with me as the relationship had grown stronger by then but the unexpected happened few years on” Yaw Osei narrated.
He revealed the lady (her girlfriend) later dumped him for the son of the landlord and ejected him from the room when the rent was due.
“The son of my landlord asked me to leave the room since his father is not renting out anymore. But I later found out that my girlfriend was staying in the same room and when I found out, the information I got was that the son of the landlord gave out to her because of the intimacy the two were having” he said in pain.
He added he had nothing to do than to live on the street which later forced him into being a security guard for commercial sex workers.
Even though, he is willing to return back home, he is not comfortable as he has nothing to show for his over 15 years stay in the Eastern Regional capital.
Commercial sex workers guards are always seen to standing points of prostitutes to provide them Security from clients who may in anyway try to do anything contrary to earlier agreements made between the two, that is; the prostitute and the man .
