Dancehall musician Shatta Wale claims that anyone who believes that the New Patriotic Party (NPP)-led government has paid him to speak on their behalf is mistaken.
Shatta Wale has been seen in many videos telling President Nana Akufo Addo’s detractors to be careful what they say about the President’s leadership style.
His remark relates to the American rapper Meek Mill’s music video, which used footage of Jubilee House and received negative feedback from the public as a result.
Many critics pointed the finger at ineffective leadership for the alleged error, which they claimed damaged Ghana’s center of power.
No one knows what happened between Meek Mill and the President, Shatta Wale claimed in one of the videos, adding that the President has the wisdom to lead the nation and decide which guests to welcome to the Jubilee House.
The NPP has not paid Shatta Wale to defend them, he claimed in a video put on his Facebook page today, January 18. He also claimed that the last time he saw the President was when he paid him a visit at the Jubilee House years ago.
“Some people are saying NPP has given Shatta Wale money to speak on their behalf because he is the outspoken person and the best person to do that. You are wrong in saying that because I have not received money from anyone,” he said in the video.
