Ghanaian musician Nana Boroo has said that the price of his human hair cost him a fortune as the price was outrageous, but he wanted the hair anyways, so he opted to buy.
According to the one-time hitmaker, import taxes on human hair should be reduced as he believes people won’t be able to patronize such products when imported into the country.
He made this pronouncement during an interview with on Accra based Okay FM.
Naana Boroo added that reduction in the import taxes on human hair will enable the average Ghanaian woman to buy.
According to Nana Boroo, his new hairstyle which is a braid made with human hair has attracted a lot of love from women and many were wowed by the price because they cannot afford it.
The highlife singer revealed that his hair alone cost $2,500 which is approximately $15,000.
“Abeiku, the hair I’m wearing costs almost $2,5000 dollars. How many women can afford to purchase it?” he quizzed.
“So, import taxes on human hair should be reduced to make it affordable for women. I’m not talking about the artificial hair-I’m talking about original, expensive human hair. There are a lot of women in my DM asking where they can get the type of hair I’m wearing “, he stated.
