Former President John Mahama claims that his bid to lead the National Democratic Congress is centered on the nation’s financial stability (NDC).
He said the government has proven to be unable to manage issues, which is why he is launching a new campaign to represent the NDC in the 2024 election.
On Monday, March 27, in the party headquarters in Accra, he made this statement after being vetted.
As he left the office, John Mahama was addressing the ecstatic supporters who were clapping for him.
He assured the group that he was confident in his ability to succeed so he could get started right away.
Yet he also stated his commitment to improving government structures and combating corruption, among other things, during the ceremony.
According to him, the Akufo-Addo administration has dismantled anti-corruption institutions.
Mr. Mahama is adamant that it will need his leadership for such institutions to regain their free mandate.
He added that a review of the Constitution from 1992 will also be a top priority.
Building The Ghana We Want Together was the topic of Mr. Mahama’s NDC flagbearership campaign, which was unveiled on March 2.
John Mahama addressed to party members in Ho that the economic mismanagement brought on by ineffective, ineffective leadership and overall, what he called “abysmal” performance had undermined trust in the Akufo-Addo-led government.
