Veteran coach J.E Sarpong has reflected on the teams he managed in the Ghana Premier League revealing that Aduana Stars and Great Olympics are the clubs he regret coaching them.
Sarpong sharing his thought on his ups and downs as a coach in the domestic league said his worst time as manager in the Ghana Premier League were with Aduana Stars and Great Olympics whiles enjoying his stint with Liberty Professionals and Asante Kotoko.
Speaking to West FM, coach Sarpong revealed the reason behind his sacking at Ebusua Dwarfs a couple of seasons ago.
“I lost my job because of Isaac Kwain disobedient during my time in Dwarfs while Gilbert Fiameyo was good but overweight at that time.”
He believes modern coaches in the West African nation tend to be dictators rather than coaches making reference to the player-coach relationship.
“Today’s coaches in the Ghana Premier League behave like prime ministers, they don’t have good relationship with their players” he argued.
“I have been stoned like Stephen in the Bible before, ladies have spit saliva on me before.
“Olympics, Aduana Stars are the teams which I regret coaching, whiles I enjoyed my time with Kotoko and Liberty” he concluded.
