Former Education Minister and Bosomtwe Member of Parliament Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum has stated emphatically that he will contest for the New Parotitic Party’s flagbearship race next year.
In an interview with Wontumi TV’s morning show, Dr. Adutwum formally announced his plan to run for the NPP’s flagbearer post in the run-up to the general elections in 2028.
“I will surely contest the NPP flagbearer race and lead the party to victory in the 2028 elections,” he confidently stated.
He therefore made a bold policy promise related to his presidential aspirations: if elected, he will enroll at least 100 students from each constituency each year in engineering programs.
“Every year, I will ensure that a minimum of 100 students from each constituency are given the opportunity to study engineering. My responsibility will not end at education—I will also work to create jobs for them after graduation,” he said.
He clarified that this program will serve as the foundation for a larger strategy to combat unemployment and promote industrialization through technical and vocational education.
