An Aspiring Assembly member for Ahenebronum Electoral Area-Mepom in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern Region, Mr. Kofi Kondobala has pledged to establish Heath Fund for people who normally need urgent financial support in Hospital to survive to save lives in his area when given the nod.
According to him, the fund will be established in collaboration with churches and philanthropists in his area and vowed to lobby for financial support to sustain the fund.
Speaking with followers of the Lord during his church tour on Sunday, ahead of Tuesday, 17th December District level election, Mr. Kondobala Kofi revealed to register and renew National Health Insurance Scheme for at least 100 people yearly, targeting 400 at the end of his term of office.
Mr. Kondobala, who is currently a health worker in the upper west Akyem District was optimistic to preside over the Assembly committee for health due to his profession and assured his people to organize periodic health screening if elected.
The Aspiring Assemblyman expressed worry over persistent thievery of goats and sheep in his area and said a watchdog committee will be formed under his leadership to fish out culprit through the support of the Police in the Area.
On sanitation, Mr. Kondobala announced to lobby for waste bins to vantage points in the electoral area to avoid dumping anywhere.
