Ghanaian musician Kwasi Poku Addae, popularly known as Kwaisey Pee has disclosed reasons why he is yet to congratulate Shatta Wale on his collaboration with Beyoncé on the “Already” song in the Black is King Movie.
Social media has been buzzing since the “Already” music video was released and Ghana has considered this move a big one that has put Ghana music across.
Shatta Wale has received a lot of heart-warming messages from President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Medikal, Kwaw Kesse and several others.
However, Kwaisey Pee is yet to post Shatta Wale or share his excitement for him on the collaboration.
In an interview on Hello FM with Dave Hammer, he said that he would be a hypocrite to congratulate Shatta Wale.
According to the “Mehia odo” hitmaker, Ghanaians have never shared congratulatory messages to Shatta on any of his collaboration with Ghanaian artiste.
He added that this shows our level of hypocrisy and the way we only support when other musicians from other countries are doing well.
He went on to say that Ghanaians ignore their own talents and embrace foreigners and that is one thing he is not happy about.
He explained that he tries as much as possible to live life without being a hypocrite and also advised Ghanaians to treat everyone equal.
