Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, also known as Nana Agradaa, has stated that she will return the money she received from the Ghana Gold Board’s Acting CEO, Sammy Gyamfi, following public condemnation and rising calls for his suspension.
Gyamfi was seen giving the controversial evangelist what look to be US cash in a widely shared video. The film has drawn criticism, especially from members of the Minority in Parliament.
They are demanding that he be suspended immediately and have called the gesture unacceptable.
In a live Instagram video, Nana Agradaa addressed the situation by stating that she will return the money and possibly increase it.
“I will return the $800 and even double it. I will do my best to find his office, and I will go there with my camera and show it to Ghanaians that I have returned the money,” she stated.
Concerned that her involvement might harm Gyamfi’s career, the former fetish priestess—who is now an evangelist—stated that her conscience would not allow it.
“This is my mantle, my Bible, and my anointing oil, as a great woman of God, and I say that I will set my church on fire if I am the reason Sammy will lose his job. Because the Bible said we should do good to everybody, the Bible did not discriminate when it said that. So, if Sammy Gyamfi gives me money, he deserves to do that,” she added.
