Aduana Stars striker, Yahaya Mohammed has set sights on winning the Ghana Premier League goal king gong in the upcoming season.
The former Asante Kotoko forward was in contention to win the prize after bagging 11 goals in 15 games for the fir boys and subsequently earn handed a call-up by CK Akonnor.
In an interview, he expressed that he could have won the top scorer award in the 2019/2020 season had it not been the cancellation of the season due to the coronavirus pandemic and has, therefore, promise to win it when the season bounces back in October.
“If not the cancellation of the league I would have won the goal king but when it starts today I will win it. It is my target and I have not change it. Before the 2019/2020 season, I targeted foreign contract, Black Stars call-up, goal king and also winning the league”
“So going into the new season the target is still the same because I was on course to accomplish all my target but it’s unfortunate the virus halted everything,” he told Television CK.
