Bryan Acheampong, an NPP presidential aspirant, has voiced significant confidence in his chances of winning the upcoming NPP presidential elections in January 2026, citing tremendous support from his supporters in the Eastern Region.
“As I mentioned earlier, I do feel the whole community has almost supported it, it’s okay.
“But I know that the whole differential people, the people in the Eastern Region, do support it,” Acheampong told his fan base during a recent interaction.
“And I’m going to win the election. Let me tell you. I’m going to win the election. I’m going to win the election.”
The former minister underlined how crucial it is to concentrate on political power.
Acheampong’s remarks follow the public endorsement of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia by fifteen Eastern Region Members of Parliament as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate for the general elections in 2028.
The MPs emphasized the increasing popularity of Bawumia’s policy proposals, which they claim have been proven since the 2024 elections, during a news conference held in Nkawkaw on Wednesday.
“After all the propaganda hurled against the NPP in the 2024 elections, it is becoming clear day by day that Bawumia was right in many of the things he proposed,” the MPs said.
“Now is the time when more Ghanaians are warming up to his ideas. Changing him will be setting ourselves back by another 16 years.”
