President Akufo-Addo has emphasised that it would take a while to deal with activities of illegal mining, activities of land guards and other illegal acts.
Speaking on Koforidua based GBC Sunrise on Tuesday, 4th August 2020, the President indicated his outfit has since assumption into office has done a lot to deal with such illegal activities and was optimistic a great success would be achieved in his second term of office.
He indicated the NPP government has been able to deal with most of the challenges and therefore called on Ghanaians to have hope in his administration as a lot is done to deal with such matters.
President Akufo-Addo formed the Inter-Ministerial Committee against Illegal Mining that supervised the activities of the “Operation Vanguard”, who were mandated to fight the illegal mining in the country.
Despite a few challenges that came with their activities, the successes chopped cannot be overemphasised.
