Members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) have visited families of three police officers who died during a crash on Accra to Kumasi highway on Wednesday to formerly inform them and extend the condolences of Ghana Police service.
Additionally, the Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare personally led a delegation to the Formed Police Unit (FPU) to inform personnel about the tragic incident and provide support during this challenging time.
Furthermore, the Inspector General spoke directly with the families of the fallen officers to offer solace and support.
The three brave police officers from the Ghana Police Service lost their lives in a tragic accident near Suhum, along the Accra-Kumasi Highway after their vehicle alleged experienced burst tyre.
The deceased officers, identified as Chief Inspector Michael Adzaho, Inspector Theresa Zampiah, and General Corporal Emmanuel Asamoah, were en route to Police operational duties at Kwahu when the unfortunate event occurred.
Another officer, General Corporal Samuel Jude Koufie, sustained injuries in the accident and is currently receiving medical treatment.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs in a statement Thursday expressed the heartfelt condolences of the entire Ghana Police Service to the families of the deceased officers, assuring them that they are in the thoughts and prayers of the entire police force during this difficult period.
As the nation mourns the loss of these dedicated officers, may the souls of Chief Inspector Michael Adzaho, PW Inspector Theresa Zampiah, and General Corporal Emmanuel Asamoah rest in perfect peace.
