The Inspector-General Police James Oppong Boanuh has reiterated the readiness of Ghana Police Service to deal with trouble makers before, during, and after the 2020 December polls.
He has therefore warned political parties and the youth to abandon any hatched plans to foment trouble any form of electoral violence or to destabilize the peace of the Country.
The IGP said when inaugurating a Police Post at Dormaa Nsesreso in Dormaa Central Constituency.
He urged residents to collaborate with Police to maintain law and order in the vicinity.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Dormaa Central Constituency who doubles as Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu said the area is a border town to Ivory Coast therefore the Police Posts will enhance security in the area. According to Hon. Agyemang Manu, the project was financed by himself.
Hon. Agyemang Manu used the opportunity to advise residents to observe all the COVID-19 protocols adding that the disease is real and the government is spending so much money on its fight.
He said the only way to defeat the Virus is by adhering to all the protocols.
