The management of Bibiani Forest Service Division has met Nananom around Upper Wassa Forest Reserve to delibrate on how to protect the remaining forest and to bring back the lost forest due to the activities of illegal mining (galamsey).
Speaking to Okyeame Amanebo, the Bibiani District Forest Manager, Mr Kobbina Baiden, he needs the support of Nananom to be able to work effectively in curbing the canker.
On the side of Nananom, Nana Kansah Ababio pledged their support to the management and also advised them on how they can succeed in their fight against galamseyers in the reserved forest and further applauded the steps taken by the new District Manager.
