The Omanhene of New Juaben Traditional Area in Eastern Region Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III has vehemently refuted claims that he is a member of the New Patriotic Party(NPP).
According to Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III, there is growing perception where some people assume that because New Juaben is a stronghold of the NPP, automatically he is an NPP.
Daasebre Kwaku Boateng III debunked this assertion reaffirming his commitment to remain apolitical but work closely with every government in power.
“People have been linking me to NPP because New Juaben is stronghold of NPP. It is not true I am neither NPP nor NDC. I work with every government in power. I once said New Juaben can also become stronghold of NDC. As a traditional ruler I want to remain apolitical that’s what I didn’t accept offers for appointment by both past and present government ” Daasebre Kwaku Boateng II said during a courtesy call on him by the Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey.
The Eastern Regional Minister reiterated her commitment to working closely with traditional rulers to stimulate development and human capital in the region.
