Dr. Bryan Acheampong, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, is certain that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will select the best candidate to run with him in December’s elections.
According to Dr. Acheampong, Dr. Bawumia would choose the person who is most suitable to be his running mate.
Speaking to reporters amid rumors that he would be viewed as Dr. Bawumia’s running mate, the Abetifi MP stated that the NPP flagbearer will exercise caution in choosing a qualified candidate for the party’s benefit.
“The only leading candidate that we know is in the mind of Dr. Bawumia. I am serving now but I was doing very well in business, if you know me. But I am serving now, so I am not a leading candidate for Dr. Bawumia.
“Everything is in his head. He will choose, he will make the best decision for the party, and the party will rally behind that candidate.” He stated.
