The Deputy Director-General of the National Lottery Authority, Eric Yeboah Wadie, has announced his readiness to contest the New Juaben South parliamentary seat in the 2028 general elections on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Mr. Yeboah Wadie, who previously contested in the 2024 NDC parliamentary primaries in the New Juaben South Constituency, indicated that his decision to run again is driven by his continued commitment to the development of Koforidua and the broader constituency.
Speaking to Nhyiraba Solomon Nartey of Bryt FM, Mr. Yeboah Wadie expressed confidence in his vision and preparation, stating that he remains focused on building a stronger and more progressive New Juaben South.
According to him, he has comprehensive plans aimed at improving infrastructure, expanding opportunities for young people, supporting local businesses, and strengthening social services within the constituency. He emphasized that leadership must be centered on service, humility, and genuine concern for the welfare of the people.
Mr. Yeboah Wadie urged NDC delegates to rally behind him and vote massively in his favor when nominations are officially opened for the constituency primaries. He stressed the need for unity within the party, noting that a united front would position the NDC strongly ahead of the 2028 general elections.
“With hard work, dedication, and a clear vision, we can bring massive development to New Juaben South and serve our people with humanity and integrity,” he stated.
He further assured constituents that his ambition is not merely political but rooted in a desire to deliver tangible development and create a lasting impact in the lives of residents across Koforidua and its surrounding communities.
As the 2028 political season gradually approaches, Mr. Yeboah Wadie’s declaration is expected to shape early conversations within the constituency and among party faithful, signaling what could become a keenly contested primary race in the coming years.
