Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu says the apparent vote of no confidence by the international community translates into a troubling 75% below the government’s own target of GHS5.03billion as contained in the 2021 Budget which was based on expected donor pledges.
In a Facebook post, the controversial lawmaker indicated “Data from the 2021 Annual Report of the Controller and Accountant-General reveals just how much Ghana’s development partners have lost confidence in the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government and particularly in disastrous Ken Ofori-Atta”.
President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party government have received numerous back clashes on the management of Ghana’s economy which seems to be dwindling lately.

The Annual Report confirms that Total Grants have plummeted sharply from GHS4.21billion in 2020 to GHS1.23billion in 2021.
This apparent vote of no confidence by the international community translates into a troubling 75% below the government’s own target of GHS5.03billion as contained in the 2021 Budget which was based on expected donor pledges.
From all indications, the trend will get worse if Ken remains in post and if President Akufo-Addo doesn’t begin to get a grip on the corruption canker.
Apart from President Akufo-Addo’s nepotistic belief that disastrous Ken is doing an excellent job, the vast majority of Ghanaians including NPP MPs and NPP supporters, and now the international community are all ad idem.
