The learning of Information Communication Technology (ICT) by school children in the Techiman Municipality in the Bono East region has received a major boost as Fiaso M/A Cluster of Schools and
Techiman Roman Catholic Cluster of Schools were both handed over 32 computers with internet connectivity.
Speaking in an interview with the Media after separate ceremonies to inaugurate these ICT Labs, Benjamin Yaw Gyarko, MCE for Techiman, praised NASCO Feeding Minds, an NGO that supplied these Computers for free to the schools indicating it will enhance the NPP Government’s Digitalization agenda.
Mr Banasco Seidu Nuhu, the Executive Director of the NASCO Feeding Minds program revealed that a total of 14 Computer Labs have been set up by the NGO across the country and pledged to do more.
Meanwhile, Messrs Opoku Ameyaw and Appiah Robert Headmasters of Fiaso M/A JHS and Techiman St. Francis R/C JHS respectively on behalf of Ghana Education Service expressed gratitude to the donors and shared some of their challenges with a call for immediate support.
