The deputy chief of Staff in charge of Administration, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, has reiterated Government commitment to working with civil society organizations for all inclusive governance.
According to her, transparency, participatory governance, and citizen-centered policy is the game changer in the reset agenda policy by the John Mahama led administration.
Speaking at a Multi-stakeholder engagement organized by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana),the deputy chief of staff alluded that governare not only inclusive but also accountable and effective.
Nana Oye Bampoe Addo admonished that over the last four month’s Government has taken decisive steps to bring governance closer to citizens.
She recommended CDD- Ghana for their findings adding that “the are strategic instruments of policy co-creation embody our renewed social contract with the people of Ghana—one grounded in dialogue, transparency.
On his part, Head of Political and Governance Team, FCDO,at the British High Commission,Hooman Nouruzi,hinted that the UK government believes that civil society organizations plays a propelling role in a democratic,fairness and equality society.
“We are aware about the significant role civil society in Ghana play and continue to play to influence changes in law and approaches to ensure the rights of all person’s,and especially those who are vulnerable in society”
He acknowledged the work of CDD-GHANA, adding that UK government is proud of the work of CDD-GHANA for taking responsibility to provide platforms for every citizen to become active participants in Ghana’s democracy.
