Inter Allies midfielder Richmond Lamptey has opened up on his 40-meter strike that propelled the Capelli boys to record a win against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday three.
The Capelli boys inflicted a 1-0 victory over the Phobians in matchday three of the Ghana Premier League. It was their first win of the campaign against the rainbow boys in the derby game played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Richmond Lamptey powerful strike from 40-yards was enough for Inter Allies to secure all points.
Inter Allies picked their first win of the season thanks to the wonderful strike from Lamptey in the 60th minute of the second half.
The former Wafa player’s goal is already in contention for the goal of the season after his effort went straight into the roof on the post.
“I like hitting the ball from long range so this goal is not new to me”, he told Happy FM.
“So when I had the chance, I went straight for the target and I scored. I had an injury in our previous game against Karela United so when I hit the long-range, it reoccurred again. I want to also thank God for the goal I scored”.
He added that the team is targeting a top-four finish in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
