The former communications manager for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s 2024 campaign has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will continue to criticize the government despite the intimidation.
The Ghana Police Service and National Security have arrested several New Patriotic Party activists over the past days.
They were bailed on August 13, 2025, but have yet to be freed from police custody.
Dennis Miracles Aboagye, speaking on Accra’s OKAY FM, stated that the government cannot employ security services to intimidate the opposition.
According to him, they will continue to criticize the government despite the intimidation they will face.
“You cannot prevent us from talking. If you arrest me, I will be in there for just a few days, and I will be back to talk some more,” he said.
