Former Ghana international, Abdul Razak known in football circles as ‘Golden Boy’ has said it will be difficult for the Black Stars to win the Africa Cup of Nations trophy that has eluded the country for some time now.
Ghana has failed to win a major trophy since 1982 despite coming close in 2010 and 2015 in recent times.
In an interview with Sun TV, he said, “I don’t know if we will die before they win the AFCON. I’m not God to predict whether or not Black Stars can win AFCON but it will be difficult”
“Our leaders did something which wasn’t good. Without footballers, administrators and others are nothing so the best way is to give players what they deserve for them to play”
“If players decide not to play the so-called administrators will not get anything. Football administrators become rich whereas players who are the main architect get nothing”
“It is about time our leaders take keen interest about the welfare of players,” he said.
