Coventry City manager Frank Lampard says Brandon Thomas-Asante’s injury is a major concern for the club.
Thomas-Asante, who has been in a rich vein of form suffered an injury setback when his outfit cruised to a 4-2 away win over Middlesbrough in the Championship.
The Black Stars attacker had to be replaced in the 41st-minute mark in the highly competitive clash, held at the Riverside Stadium on Tuesday night.
Despite losing their leading scorer early in the match, Coventry City managed to beat triumph over Middlesbrough.
“It’s a hamstring. He said he didn’t feel like it was a major tear, but it tightened up on him. So, it was a good thing he came off. Obviously, it’s a concern for us, and we’ll have to see how he is.” He said.
Thomas-Asante is expected to undergo scans to determine the extent of the injury sustained in their game against Middlesbrough.
The 26-year-old forward has been in a blistering form for Coventry City this campaign, racking up ten goals and provided three assists in 17 appearances in the English Championship.
