“People should stop saying that Dr. Bawumia got advantage in the NPP’s super delegates elections because most of them are government appointees”.
“Such comments are untrue and lacks merit. Aside regional Ministers, constituency chairmen and and regional executives positions are not appointed so what are those people saying”.
National Organiser for Friends of Bawumia, Rev George Opoku Acheampong made the statements on Bryt FM news on Sunday in response to criticisms on the performance of Vice President Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
He indicated that the vice President remains the only credible candidate to lead the party going into the 2024 elections if the NPP is truly ready to break the ‘8’ political jinx of Ghana’s democratic governance history.
He emphasised the resounding victory of Dr Bawumia shows the party has trust in him and therefore a clear indication that he will emerge victory come November 4.
Rev George Opoku Acheampong however, called on delegates to vote for Dr Bawumia in order to help the party secure victory and also help in developing the economy with his rich expertise.
