Ghanaian media personality, Kwesi Kyei Darkwa, has gone hard on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for constant ordering chiefs to get up and salute him.
He claims that the President’s acts have brought disgrace to the Presidency and are just too conceited and out of touch.
KKD was making reference to the Ghanaian President’s recent habit of giving orders to Chiefs.
The President has occasionally told chiefs to stand up and welcome him when he sees them seated at a gathering.
KKD claims that chiefs govern for life, but presidents rule for brief periods of time. For this reason, it is totally inappropriate for a president to be so conceited as to command chiefs to rise and meet him.
According to KKD, no President in Ghanaian history has degraded the office of President as much as Akufo-Addo has done with his haughtiness.
