Education minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum had the opportunity to talk to young and growing minds of our country on Thursday 16th March, 2023 at the International Youth Empowerment Summit – IYES.
The summit aimed to groom, equip and polish participating youth.
He entreated participants to avoid limiting themselves and were counseled that it is not about someone telling them that they cannot do it, but rather, it is about what one says to oneself after someone tells one that one cannot do it.
The minister also encouraged them to develop a growth mindset and detest developing a fixed mindset because a growth mindset allows one to think differently and make room for improvement.
Furthermore, he advised them to have a fierce determination that will guide them through the journey of success.
“Ghana has the right set of students than so many countries. We have students who are well-mannered, brilliant, and determined and we will do everything to get these young men and women to the top” he stated.
