The lawyer of a jailed Moroccan journalist, Soulaimane Raissouni, says his client is ready to suspend his 118 -day hunger strike, but that he must be taken to hospital.
Mr Raissouni’s health is said to have deteriorated sharply.
He was detained more than a year ago, and convicted of indecent assault last month.
Mr Raissouni denies the allegation.
His supporters say it’s part of a politically motivated defamation campaign.
He is one of a number of Moroccan journalists who’ve been prosecuted for alleged sex crimes.
