In the quest to reduce the numerous road accidents in the country, the leading multimedia in the Eastern Region, Joy Daddy Multimedia in partnership with the National Road Safety Authority have educated drivers from the various transport unions in Koforidua.
The month-long program kicked off today at the Kumasi station where drivers were assembled and given some lectures on how to maintain decency on the road.
Drivers were educated on road signs and traffic regulations to help them increase on road safety skills and abilities.
During the event, the Head of Transport at the Road Safety Authority, Enoch Effum Darkwa also took the opportunity to applaud Joy Daddy Multimedia for the team-up work with the Authority to offer education to the driver’s unions to enable them to gain proper road signs and traffic light signals while driving to keep them safe.
According to him, having knowledge is a must to become a licensed and safe driver and with that education organized for drivers, it will help these drivers to be extra careful when driving.
Mr Enoch Effum continued that knowing the proper road signs and traffic light signals is essential in keeping drivers safe while driving.
He also appealed to the government to support their vision by providing the Authority with some vehicles to aid them to run their activities easily.
Mr Kwabena Antwi the Reformed Party Chairman for Cooperative Transport Union on his part advised the drivers to desist from alcoholic beverages while driving.
