The Western North Media Festival and Personality Awards in Sefwi Bekwai saw Lord Fm 107.1, a subsidiary of Joy Daddy Multimedia, take home seven (7) prestigious awards. By earning seven outstanding prizes the previous year, the station continued its record and did so again this year.
Editor and host of Lord FM’s morning program “Efa Wo Ho,” Kwame Kontor Boateng, received the award for the best morning program and host of the year.
The year’s finest female newscaster and female journalist were both won by Akosua Etornam (Mama Logic), giving her the chance to push for radio personality of the year.
For the first time in five years, Lord FM Sports host Joseph Nana Yobo took home the award for the best sports show and host of the year.
The radio pastor for the station, Prophet Agya Samuel, was named the best radio pastor of the year.
As a result, Lord FM’s workaholic manager Mr Kwaku Fosu, well known as Vasco, was able to win the best manager award for a second time.
