The President of the Republic, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has received the Letters of Credence of six (6) envoys from Türkiye, Ethiopia, Mali, Saudi Arabia, Cote d’Ivoire and Colombia at a brief ceremony, which was held on Monday, 10th July, 2023, at the Jubilee House in Accra.
President Akufo-Addo congratulated the new envoys on their appointment and expressed the Government of Ghana’s readiness to cooperate with their respective countries in the areas of mutual interest such as trade, agriculture, health, technology, and education.
He added that the Government of Ghana will extend to them the needed support in the discharge of their duties during their tour of duty.
On issues concerning trade, President Akufo-Addo, urged each of the envoys to explore the trade opportunities provided by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to boost the economic cooperation between Ghana and the respective countries.
On their part, the new envoys assured the President of their preparedness to further deepen the already existing cordial relations between their respective countries and Ghana in areas of mutual interest at the bilateral and multilateral levels.
The new envoys are the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, H.E. Mr. Hüseyin Güngӧr, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, H.E. Mr. Teferi Fikre Gossaye, Ambassador of the Republic of Mali, H.E. Konate Oumar, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Mr. Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dakhel, Ambassador of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire, H.E. Mr. Assiélou Félix Tanon, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia, H.E. Mr. Daniel Garces Carabali.
