The Kabaka Foundation has congratulated Mr. Henry Larbi Kwaku Nyanteh, Principal of Br. Tarcisius Prosthetics and Orthotics Training College (BTPOTC) and Executive Director of the Foundation, on his appointment as a member of the Governing Board of the Allied Health Professions Council.
In a statement issued by the Foundation, the leadership and staff extended their warmest felicitations to Mr.Henry Larbi Nyanteh, describing his appointment as a recognition of his unwavering commitment to healthcare development, allied health education, and physical rehabilitation services in Ghana.
“This appointment is manifestation to Henry Larbi’s years of dedication, innovation, and leadership in the health sector, particularly in advancing the rights and welfare of persons requiring prosthetic and orthotic care,” the statement said.
Mr.Henry Larbi Nyanteh, a founding member of the Ghana Federation of Allied Health Professionals and a PhD candidate, has played a pivotal role in shaping allied health training and advocacy in Ghana.
Through his leadership at BTPOTC in Nsawam and the Kabaka Foundation, he has championed initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access and rehabilitation services for vulnerable groups.
His appointment to the Allied Health Professions Council Board, the Foundation noted, comes at a crucial time as the nation works to strengthen inclusive healthcare regulation, close human resource gaps, and improve service delivery in allied health disciplines.
The Kabaka Foundation expressed confidence that Mr.Henry Larbi Nyanteh would bring his expertise, experience, and passion for healthcare equity to bear on the Board’s work.
The Allied Health Professions Council Board was inaugurated on Friday, July 11, by the Ministry of Health, alongside five other critical health sector boards. Mr. Henry Larbi Nyanteh joins a ten-member board chaired by Prof. Clement Desmond Kotei Addison, tasked with overseeing the regulation and promotion of allied health professions in the country.
The Kabaka Foundation pledged its continuous support for Henry Larbi Nyanteh in this new national assignment and reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with allied health institutions and stakeholders to improve the health and well-being of all Ghanaians.
Kabaka Foundation -a charity organization founded by Nana Owiredu Wadie I, Nkosuohene of Kwahu Nkwatia ,continue to significantly contribute to Ghana’s healthcare sector with a number of project interventions.
In September 2023, the foundation handed over to the Eastern Regional Hospital,a 80-bed capacity multipurpose
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit(NICU) which consists of high dependency, low dependency, stable, and isolation ward, Kangaroo Mother Care Excellence Centre with 10-bed capacity in-patient adaptation and hostel for mothers.
In June 2025, the foundation handed over a newly constructed Antenatal and Postnatal Care Unit to the Ashongman Reproductive & Child Health (RCH) Post under the Ga East Municipal Health Directorate in the Greater Accra Region.
The foundation has been distributing sanitary pads to enhance menstrual hygiene health among young girls.
The initiatives aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all.
