The National Women Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Madam Kate Gyamfua has held a day’s conference for all women organizers and women executives of all smaller parties in the country. They discussed and shared issues affecting women in politics.
Resource persons who spoke at the conference encouraged them to forge unity and also build their confidence level to help them climb higher in their field of politics.
They were also urged to learn and upgrade themselves so that they can also get more appointments when the time is due.
Some of the women shared their experiences at the conference to empower others to break the glass ceilings in politics and governance.
The Organizer of the event, Madam Kate Gyamfua said the event was imperative to encourage and empower women Organizers in the smaller parties to come together to help develop the country.
She said women have been relegated to the background for far too long and it was time for them to come out to influence decision making.
