Kenyan President William Ruto says his government will buy air tickets for Kenyans who find jobs abroad as the country grapples with youth unemployment.
Last year he signed bilateral agreements with Germany, France, Saudi Arabia, and other Gulf States to import labor from Kenya.
He plans to have 250,000 Kenyan nationals work abroad annually.
However, many youths are opposed to Ruto’s move, arguing that he should rather create jobs in Kenya, as many are unwilling to leave.
