Kenya’s High Court has warned men against denying their sisters an inheritance by blocking them from inheriting their parents’ wealth.
The court ruled that it was a crime deserving of a maximum of one year in prison, a fine, or both.
The decision came following an attempt by a Kenyan man, Victor Kelonye, to deny his four sisters inheritance by refusing to provide them with a share of their deceased mother’s 30 acre estate in western Kenya.
