Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga has called off the “Mega Monday” anti-government protests scheduled for today.
Three people have died, and properties and businesses have been looted since demonstrations erupted on 20 March.
Odinga said he was ready for negotiations following an appeal from President William Ruto.
However, the veteran opposition politician said his party “reserves the right to call for demonstrations should this process not bear fruit.”
