Kenya’s President William Ruto has vowed not to permit gay marriage in his country.
“We have our culture, and values, Christianity and Islam cannot allow women to marry each other, or men to marry fellow men” Ruto said.
This comes after a Supreme Court ruling, which allowed the LGBTQ community to register lobby groups in Kenya.
Speaking during the launch of the Women Enterprise Fund in the Capital Nairobi, President Ruto also said “I want to assure the women that I will not accept men to give you competition for husbands; where will you get husbands? ”
