Former Constituency Youth organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Akpabli who has resigned from the party has vowed to lead a campaign against Pius Enam Hadzide in Asuogyaman Parliamentary election.
Pius Hadzide, a former parliamentary candidate for the NPP in Ketu North has relocated to contest the Parliamentary seat in Asuogyaman currently occupied by NDC Member of Parliament Thomas Ampem Nyarko on December 7.
However Bernard Akpabli alias Agbeli who recently defected with 200 members of the NPP asserts that Pius Hadzide development oriented and competent to lead Asuogyaman.
He alleged that Pius Hadzide cannot point to a single project he did to improve the living standards of Ketu North his home constituency therefore has nothing good to offer the people of Asuogyaman.
He assured the NDC that over 6000 members he manipulated to vote against the party in the previous elections will return to massively vote for John Mahama this time around.
He said this during a “retail campaign ” Campaign at Mpakadan by the National Chairman of NDC and his entourage.
The National chairman of NDC Johnson Asiedu Nketia cautioned the constituents against tribal politics rather vote for development.
He said the incumbent MP Thomas Ampem Nyarko is among hardworking MPs the party recognizes, that, when the NDC assumes power will be supported to bring more developmental projects to the constituency.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia stated that the Australian Visa Scandal which involved Pius Enam Hadzide is one of the tall list of corrupt cases the NDC will investigate and prosecute.
Asuogyaman MP Thomas Ampem Nyarko said Mpakadan include communities that have benefited from his project funded by his common fund.
He assured to do more when John Mahama assumes power as President in 2025
