As part of activities to commemorate the celebration of our women on international women’s Day, parliamentary hopeful for the NDC in Ketu North Edem Agbana and his team paid a surprise visit to former constituency women organisers of the constituency.
These women according report have contributed immensely to the development of the NDC in Ketu North.
One of such pioneers is Madam Comfort Hlortsi, a foundational member of the NDC since 1992, who later became a Deputy Constituency women organiser until 2004.
Madam Sitsofe Nutsuakor, who served as Deputy Women Organiser from 2004 to 2018, and constituency Women Organiser from 2018 to 2022 was equally recognized on this occasion.
The longest serving constituency women organiser ever, Madam Victoria Atikor who served as Women Organiser from 1992 to 2018 was also recognized but will receive her package when she returns from a short trip outside the constituency.
“Like Madam Comfort and Sittsofe, our women have been very instrumental to the formation of the party, right from 31st women movement through our history, the NDC women’s wing continue to play a vital to the party’s growth and progress” Comrade Agbana stated.
“As we mark international women’s Day, I extend message of good will to all our gallant women for their continues support and sacrifice towards our beloved party and more particular in Ketu North” he added.
