Ketu South lawmaker, Abla Dzifa Gomashie had the rare and daunting task of going to visit the bereaved constituent who lost his wife and children.
It was with a very heavy heart as it reminded the MP of the loss of her husband in 2019 as the experience still brings tears to her eyes sometimes.
The Assembly Member for Viepe- Tokor Electoral Area , Hon. Victor Ayaku and Branch Executives of Viepe – Tokor and the Aflao- Wego Zone accompanied the MP when she visited Mr. Amewu Atitso and his family.
The community believes what happened was a result of human error, incompetence and unprofessional conduct by many players. The allegations are rife and the conspiracy theories many.
The MP urged the Ministries in charge, Minerals Commission, the Traditional Authorities, Ketu South Municipal Assembly and the Seven Seas Company to take the necessary actions to avert any such occurrence in the constituency.
She stated “These institutions must thoroughly investigate the whole situation, make their findings known and the culprits punished (if any) to serve as a deterrent. The lawlessness cannot continue. We must ensure the law works to protect our citizens”.
