The yearlong music festival introduced by JoyDaddy Multimedia in collaboration with Y&K Company Limited has gotten the full attention of two out of some special leaders who run the region.
The endorsement came following a courtesy call paid by a section of the KofCityWeDey artiste and management on the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Eric Kwakye Darfour and the Chief Imam, Alhaji Usif Amudani Suleman at their humble abodes.
According to Alhaji Usif Amudani Suleman, whom the artiste visited first, the artistes can reach the level they want to be in life based on their attitude, as he promised to pray and support them in any way he can.
Alhaji Sally Abdallah who gave the welcome address during the meeting assures management of the KofCityWeDey project and the artiste of the full support of not only chief Imam but also from the council of Zongo Chiefs and the entire Eastern Regional Muslim communities in order to promote them.
To display what they do for their living, the artiste gave the chief imam and his elders a fantastic performance with each singing their part.
Adding to the numerous advice given to the artistes, the eastern regional minister urged them to keep on with the flame they have started and never to quench though situations are difficult.
To him, some people are privileged to be supported by parents who recognised their child’s talent while others are not.
“In our time, we couldn’t come out to even exhibit our talents because of our parents. They will always advise you to go and learn and not fool when sending you to school. They always see talents as ‘useless’. All they want from their child is to complete school and become somebody prominent but not through entertainment like music and dance among many others,” he teased.
The Eastern Regional minister is yet to listen to the marvellous talents of the artiste as the chief imam did due to his busy schedule as the upcoming general election is fast approaching.
